of house of cards, radiohead
House of Cards
I don't want to be your friend
I just want to be your lover
No matter how it ends
No matter how it starts
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Fall off the table,
Get swept under Denial, denial
The infrastructure will collapse
Voltage spikes
Throw your keys in the bowl
Kiss your husband goodnight
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Fall off the table,
And get swept under Denial, denial
Denial, denial Your ears should be burning
Denial, denial Your ears should be burning
Denial, denial
In my opinion, the song is about a guy and a girl. Best friends, I assume. The guy confessed to the girl that he wanted to be more than a friend. However, there's a catch-the girl is married. The guy is persuading the girl to take chances, to leave her husband and build a new life with him judging by the line "..forget about your house of cards, and i'll do mine". Probably the guy also have a gf, and will leave the gf for that girl.Maybe.The line "..infrastructure will collapse"
probably tells us of the broken marriage of the girl......and the girl appears to have the same feelings on the guy, but she can,t because she is married. So,she's in denial, judging by the line"...denial,denial" whereas " your ears should be burning" indicates that she is haunted by her friend's confession.........

some thoughtful message found.
If you have been rejected many times in your life, then one more rejection isn't going to make much difference. If you're rejected, don't automatically assume it's your fault. The other person may have several reasons for not doing what you're asking her to do:none of it may have anything to do with you.Perhaps the person is busy.Or not feeling well or genuinely interested in spending time with you.Rejections are part of everyday life. Don't let them bother you. Keep reaching out to others.Keep reaching out to others. When you begin to receive positive responses then you are on the right track. It's all a matter of numbers. Count the positive responses and forget about the rejections.

The grass is always greener on the other side......
wouldn't you???
I mean, the saying 'the grass is greener on the other side' does fit with these feelings that you have, but what i've realised yesterday,as I was brushing my teeth was... the grass will always appear to be greener than the one in your backyard, simply because you don't look close enough at your own grass...
Thus, you dont' see the beauty of your own grass.Right??
Other people may have have all the good things that I only can pray to have but in the midst off all, you have to appreciate what's in your own backyard first.Once you do, then you'll realise that whatever it is that you have is not that bad after all....
Your grass is actually as green as the grass on the other side!
It also occurred to me last night, as I was getting ready for bed that...
I may envy with what other people get to experience or whatnot but in the end I'm thankful that
- I have a good place that I can call home here in Brisbane. Some people live in much horrible places!
- I have enough money for basic necessities. Some people have to steal.
- I get to experience some of the good things in life.I get to travel and experience new environment, meet people from all walks of life. Some people doesn't even have the opportunity.
- I get to encounter different people from all walks of life and become friends with them
- I have not much friends maybe, but I have a few ones that I really love and cherish so much. And I'm so glad to have known them.
- I have my family. We may not be close knit, affectionate or very close towards each other...but I have them.Think about those who are unfortunate.
- I live in the best time of the century.I wouldn't want to live during the Japanese occupation or during WWII.
- I live in a peaceful country.Some people dont.
So, whenever I feel this way, I guess i'll have to repeat this mantra to myself over and over again, 'The grass is always greener on the other side, but if you look closely in your own backyard, you'll realise the beauty of your own grass....'

I am missing her-badly
And it's kinda funny how fate brought us together. Two people who are unlikely to become best friends, and we are. The best of friends. We actually met during English class(I do remember how i make friends with people, you see...) and our ice breaker was her asking me about my watch, where did i get it and whatnot. Well, the watch is already gone, a long, long time ago...but she is still here.
And she's always here.Even when I''m here in Brisbane. I can feel her with me, although she's not there, physically.....
And I admit that I miss her badly.
I taught her how to go to mid by train, where her mum called me and scolded me.
We took her mum's Kancil to putrajaya, and actually drove on the motorcycle lane.
She called me when her rabbits died.On the phone.
She visited me and made me a caramel pudding when I was down with chicken pox.
She is my confidante.
We went to My Chemical Romance together.Just the two of us.Ha.
She's like a sister to me.I love and care for her so much.
I tried to make her stay when her mum tried to transfer her to another school.
And I waited for her, wanting to see her for the last time....don't want to board the plane before seeing her...at the airport.
And I still do sometimes,to see whether she's online or not.
Coz she's my best friend. And I'm glad to have her.
Even when we annoy each other.
Even when we hurt each other's feelings.
I had so many precious memories shared with her....from high school til now. and I'm looking forward to share more with her....
Gosh, I feel so lesbian rite now.Hahaha.
