When happiness comes in the form of a butterfly...

While unpacking and organizing my stuffs in the new humble abode, I came across a notebook with a quotation on it.Somehow, it kinda make me smile for awhile.I got this notebook probably on my birthday, 2-3 years ago I think.Or maybe on Friendship day or some random act of kindness done by the person who gave it to me.An old friend that I haven't keep in touch anymore due to the different paths that we took...

Anyways, the quote on the cover goes something like this;

"Happiness is like a butterfly:the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder...."

-Thoreau-

I have always liked this quotation.Thank you so much, in case I haven't thanked you enough all those times throughout our friendship.The friendship that we had thought me a lot of things, help me to grow as a better person, hopefully.Somehow, this quote does give me a whole new outlook on life.

Sometimes, I still wonder, what ever happened to you, my friend?

What we are and where we are from....

From the way I see it;

We came from a million of different possibilities.

We are a million of different possibilities that we want to be.

The girl is back in Brisbane....

I arrived in Brisbane finally 2 days ago, after the so called 'summer hols' in Malaysia.

Some part of me is sad with the fact that I'm leaving home but some part of me is anticipating my life back in Brisbane.There was a time that I got so bored at home that I even questioned my decision of going back in the first place.Come to think of it again, it's a blessing in disguise. I made some discoveries about myself, about the people around me, not to mention getting some new outlook on life.It was all about finding myself again, finding things that had been lost out of my sight and also mind all these years.....

Oh well, I went out today.It was raining heavily and
Aiman and I went to look for shelter in the.....Queensland Museum.What an educational outing.

A matter of Mars and Venus

It's not fair to say that '... it is tough to be a woman'.

Yes, being a woman is tough.Once, my friends and I discussed that us girls have a tough life then the male counterparts.There are a few things that a girl has to go through in her life, which comes in the package of being a female.Such things are;

-A girl has to go through PMS and stuff, water retention etc.Sometimes, we are excused for acting all 'melodramatic' or 'plain weird' just because we are having 'one of those days'.Period pain sucks, that's the truth but hey, us girls also don't enjoy the emotional side effects of it too.....

-It is a truth universally acknowledge that only women give birth, not man.So, we have to carry another life for 9 months, gaining heaps of weight, looking uber unattractive during the 9 months and also after the birth, endure pain during childbirth.Men don't have to go through all that....Prior to that, a woman also has perform her duty as a wife and also mother, looking after her family while we also want to achieve success in carrier.It is tough being a woman these days.....

....but, let's have both sides be heard.It is tough too being a guy these days, I think.Such difficulties are;-

-It is also a truth universally acknowledge that a guy must 'woo' the girl(well, these days, it works both ways...).In that process, the guy must have at least a sufficient amount of cash.This is because they need the money to take their girlfriends out for dinner(although some people happily go dutch in this case), pamper them with cute or expensive gifts and whatnot...later, the guy has to save some money too for weddings(Mostly marriages in the Malay culture, i think) and later also when they have a family.They work damn hard to make ends meet in order to provide a better life for their wife and children.Some guys might be lucky that they earn more and have a comfortable working environment.For some, they wish that they can provide more for their family.....

So, i do think that it is tough for both genders actually. There's pros and cons of being Mars and Venus.

Waxing lyrical.....

'So I look in your direction,

But you pay me no attention, do you?'

Coldplay-Shiver

Now, this really sounds like a situation faced by any 'rempit' when they failed to get any attention from the girls.Imagine the next sentence will probably sounds something like this: "Ala, sombong la kak long!"

New day of the new year.

Today, i begin the new year with a jog around my neighbourhood.

It may look as if I'm on a new year resolution to lose weight or something but not actually.I'm running away from the stress.The past few months last year has been quite stressful and depressing as you can say.So many things happened along the way.The good.The bad.Happiness.Heartache.The only way that helps me to not think some of the trouble or sadness inside of me is to, literally run.You know, people say that when you do some form of
exercise, you'll feel happy because your body releases endorphins.In a way it's true.Nowadays,I'm able to cope with stress by just going for a quick jog, once in a while.With that and combined with some good catchy and upbeat songs, i feel much better.

Anyways, I drove my mum later to the bus station as she has some work in
JB and too tired to drive 4 hours from S'ban to JB.As I was driving the car, I realised that I've been a speed demon.Sometimes, I drive to fast.I actually used the fifth gear around school area!I just love the speed sometimes, just as jogging, it give me some kind of adrenaline rush.Especially when you're driving manual(in my case), that's more like heaven.But I'm the worse driver too, sometimes...Note to myself, drive more erm, careful Hezrin, in 2009.=)

I celebrated new year last night, with my traditional 'new year celebration', which is to hit the sack early.But with a twist: I was on the phone.An early indication of breaking the usual cycle.As usual, well, a new year is just...another year.Another combination of digits.I m going to be 22 years old this year.Hope I'm all wiser than I was last year.I've changed, some parts of me still remain the same.Well, nobody is the same person they was at the age of 14, 16 and also 18, right?

Oh well, Happy new year everyone!
